Getting started with Formblyt
This guide takes you from a new account to a published form collecting real responses. It should take about five minutes.
Create your account
Sign up with an email address and password, or continue with Google. New accounts start on the free plan, which includes AI generation and a monthly allowance of forms and responses.
- 1Open the sign-up page and enter your email and password.
- 2Confirm your email address if prompted.
- 3You land on the dashboard, which lists every form and quiz you own.
Create your first form
There are three ways to start: describe the form to the AI generator, pick a template from the gallery, or start from a blank form and add fields yourself. Whichever you choose, the form opens in the same visual builder.
- 1Click New form on the dashboard.
- 2Describe the form you need, choose a template, or start blank.
- 3Review the generated fields and edit anything that is not quite right.
Publish and share
Publishing generates a short link and a QR code. Anyone with the link can respond in a browser — respondents never need a Formblyt account.
- 1Click Publish in the builder.
- 2Copy the short link or download the QR code.
- 3Share it by email, messaging apps, a website button, or print the QR code.
Watch responses arrive
Submissions appear in the responses view in real time, with completion analytics and per-question breakdowns. You can export everything to CSV at any point.
Frequently asked questions
Do respondents need an account?
No. Published forms and quizzes are open web pages; only the form owner needs an account.
Can I edit a form after publishing?
Yes. Edits go live immediately on the same link, and existing responses are preserved.
What happens when I hit the free plan limit?
You can still access existing responses; you will be prompted to upgrade before creating more forms or collecting further responses.
